This year we got to follow from up the very first GLOBE WCT FIJIâ??voted best surf contest on the planet by the ASP surfersâ??with another event blessed with filthy surf and standout performances. Dubbed the sickest event on the planet, the contest went down between May 21st and June 1st, 2006, with Damien Hobgood taking the top honors. We approached this yearâ??s event with two goals: 1. Make sure we donâ??t mess up a good thing; and 2. Put a Globe stamp of fun on it.
