Integrate your SeaTalk and NMEA onboard systems RayMarine's SeaTalk data bus is proprietary, but by using this interface box you can tap into it, exchanging data between your Raymarine radar, autopilot, etc., with any instrument or computer running NMEA 1083-compatible software. Equipment can communicate in both directions (NMEA 1083 devices to SeaTalk and SeaTalk to NMEA). Data "sentences" are translated include lat/long, GPS status, compass heading, and temperature. The interface will also output NMEA or SeaTalk data via an RS-232 connector, but only one way. The E86001 serial data cable (sold separately) is recommended for connecting computers to this device.
