The most versatile North Sails performance sail, designed for freeride and widebody boards with an extra wide wind range. The new R-Type main strength is excellent acceleration from low speeds, derived from its low end profile and excellent twist dynamics. A slightly lower sail foil tension than in race sails permits easy and comfortable pumping. Sheeting in will usually suffice to get planning. The R-Type simply glides through wind holes! These properties make it the ideal choice for days with marginal planning conditions. The two super soft rotating Hyper Cams maintain a solid profile even without sufficient wind pressure and provide sufficient stability for the rider. At the same time the two cambers push the upper limit of wind range almost into infinity. The R- Type is the ideal sail for the Rave Board Class and official certified for the Bic Techno Class! For maximum weight reduction we used iModular Design and only six ultra light battens (except 9.5), four only six ultra light stiff Box Battens. Key Features of The North Sails R Type 6.0m Windsurf Sail: New: Increased wind range through Hyper Leech II, a more active TT Top II and reduced batten angles One mast fits all Dura Luff Patch avoids damage to the luff panel from rigging Hyper Cam: The first hard camber that rotates like a soft cam Increased durability through solid X. Ply foot construction Luff: 457cm Boom: 198cm

Though it may not be so apparent, there is an entirely new concept behind the 2007 Natural. Kai Hopf took a lot of inspiration from the Duke without loosening top speed. Similarities can be recognized in the luff curve and the new, lighter Progressive Batten Configuration. Up to 6.6m2, the Natural's carefully balanced construction focuses on easy handling and a stable center of effort ( Freemove) with only five battens. From 7.0m2 upwards, the design favors early planning (Freeride) with easy handling and simple set up. Both versions offer excellent control, a high level of comfort and lots of planning power, creating a perfect synthesis of speed, acceleration and easy handling. This design makes windsurfing simply less complicated. Key Features of The North Sails Natural 7.0m Windsurf Sail: New: Wider wind range through Hyper Leech II, a more active TT Top II and reduced batten angles New: iModular Design for reduced weight and better handling Dura Luff Patch avoids damage to the luff panel from rigging Easy trimming with the integrated trim block Luff: 478cm Boom: 207cm

The brand new X type are extremely versatile sails that combine high speed with the easy handling and rigging of NoCam sails. Designed to win the Super X World cup. The Super X team loves the sail's explosive performance and perfect control in all phases of the heats. Despite it's huge power, the X-type allows the rider to fully focus on obstacles and maneuver. The sails derives it potential from the new Hyper. Leech II and the more active twist of the TT.Top II. This improves the entire rig handling and contributes substantially to a stable center if effort. Another new design feature is the Progressive Batten Configuration with varying numbers of battens according to sail sizes and intended use. Kai Hopf used only six battens for the smaller sizes up to 6.6 for better handling due to reduced weight. And once again you can use all X- type with a single 460-25 mast- one mast fits all. Key Features of The North Sails X Type 6.0m Windsurf Sail: A wider wind range and better control through the new Hyper Leech II and TT Top II Dura Luff Patch avoids damage to the luff panel from rigging Increased durability through solid X- Ply foot construction One mast (460-25) fits all sizes of sails Luff: 455cm Boom: 191cm

Once again, the most versatile sail in North's entire product range is the Natural. This multiple test winner combines superb handling with a balanced performance - a true allrounder! Its balanced construction with PROGRESSIVE.BATTEN.CONFIGURATION focuses on handling and draft stability on sizes up to 6.6 m2, which is why it features only 5 battens. At 7.0 m2 and above, the design shifts it's focus to planing and Kai Hopf once again concentrates on simple rig control and handling. Both versions offer excellent control, a high level of comfort, and plenty of planing power, creating the perfect synthesis of speed, acceleration, and handling. The new Natural will make windsurfing much less complicated, and for many the problem of choosing the right material will become obsolete.
