Humid interiors are a no go on boats. The smell and sludge influences the environment on the yacht. Humidity is absorbed by cushions, mattresses and wooden furniture. Most times this vapor is avoided by sweat water of the yacht's hull. This water pours down into the bilges and causes air moisture, fungus and smell. Following hints avoid this moisture and the resulting problems:

  • Collect the sweat water in one bilge corner and let it be pumped out automatically.
  • Regular cleaning of the bilge.
  • Air dehumidifying
  • Airing of mattresses and cushions with humidity absorbing mats and underlays.
